FTX SBF STFU!
Well it has been a bit. I thought I would let the smoking crater of the FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried debacle clear out a bit… Wow this one was a doosie!
If you missed it let me recap for you:
- There was this big centralized exchange (where people would put money to buy crypto and keep their crypto) called FTX. It was one of the biggest exchanges.
- It was run by a guy name Sam Bankman Freid (SBF)
- SBF was thought of to be like the crypto Jesus. — giving alway all him money and being really smart
- Well apperently all that was smoke and mirrors and the FTX exchange BLEW UP.
“My goal is to have impact”
Sam Bankman-Fried
There was a tweets storm where the head of another crypto exchange (Binance) speculated that FTX finances were amiss. And SBF tweeted saying they were fine… but people started pull money out… and then SBF was like things weren’t fine and trades were locked and SBF said he did not have money to cover all withdrawals. FTX filed for bankruptcy, SBF arrested, the garbage fire that was FTX and Alameda Research… yada yada yada. IF you follow crypto news you know all of this. So instead of reporting on months old news that is probably already outdated… I am gonna pitch some FTX SBF movie ideas:
Title: “Rug Pull”
Logline: A down-on-his-luck, boy-genius, starts a crypto exchange to save the world. But he soon realizes his utopian dream turned into a Ponzi scheme without him realizing it. But as the stakes get higher he is too entrenched to end it, he must navigate the cutthroat world of crypto while trying to keep his scheme afloat and his investors happy.
The mockumentary follows Sam Bankman-Fried (Jonah Hill) as he creates a creates FTX; a crypto exchange to better the world. But in a comedy of errors he actually creates a highly lucrative Ponzi scheme and quickly becomes a overnight millionaire. With the help of a ragtag group of friends (Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, Jason Segal) he tries to keep the scheme going and turn it back to good before the bottom falls out. The comedy comes from the absurdity of the situation, as well as the absurdity of the crypto world and the characters that inhabit it. SBF discovers that the world of crypto is not as glamorous as it seems and he must make a decision whether to come clean or keep the charade going.
SBF is the perfect mix of charismatic and bumbling, making him relatable and the ideal person to lead the audience through the absurdity of the story. With a mix of humor and satire, “The Crypto Con” is a comedy that will appeal to fans of mockumentary and crypto enthusiasts alike.
Title: “Taken Crypto”
Logline: When a new, revolutionary crypto exchange loses all its value, the creator must go on a dangerous mission to save it and clear his name before it’s too late.
The movie follows Sam Bankman-Fried (Liam Neeson), a brilliant, altruistic programmer and entrepreneur who creates a new crypto exchange that promises to revolutionize the industry and save humanity. However, when the exchange suddenly crashes, he discovers that the exchange has been hacked and his reputation is on the line.
Determined to save the exchange and clear his name, SBF character sets out on a dangerous mission to track down the hackers and retrieve the stolen funds of all the people who trusted him. Along the way, he faces off against a ruthless hacker gang and corrupt government officials who will stop at nothing to keep the truth from coming out.
With intense action sequences and a gripping storyline, “The Crypto Heist” is a modern-day “Taken” for the crypto world. SBF is a skilled and determined hero who will stop at nothing to save his creation and restore his reputation. He uses his wit and cunning as well as some friends (Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Arnold Schwarzenegger) to fight the corruption and fraud that plague the industry. With a mix of high-stakes action and cutting-edge technology, “The Crypto Heist” is a movie that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
Title: “Exchanging Love”
Logline: A young couple, who run a crypto exchange together, must navigate the ups and downs of their business and relationship when the exchange crashes.
The movie follows Caroline Ellison (Natalie Portman) and Sam Bankmank-Fried (Harry Melling – Famous as Dudley from the Harry Potter franchise), a young and ambitious couple who run a successful crypto exchange together with the goal of bettering the world. However, when the exchange suddenly loses all its value, they are forced to confront not only the challenges of saving their business, but also the challenges of their relationship.
As they work to save the exchange, they must also navigate the ups and downs of their relationship, including communication issues, trust and commitment. Along the way, they find themselves learning more about themselves and each other, and ultimately falling deeper in love. The movie is a mix of humor, romance and relatable characters that will make audiences laugh, cry, and appreciate the complexities of relationships and crypto-currencies.
I am sure a FTX movie will eventually happen, in late December wire, securities fraud, and money laundering changes where bought against SBF so the plot is still unfolding.
I can’t wait for the sequel!
